    Mr. David Lee Beattie, 79, of Hot Springs Village passed away on February 24, 2015. He was born July 30, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late James and Alta Garver Beattie.
    Mr. Beattie served 30 years in the IRS and was head of the IRS Data Center in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan and Oakland University and was also a Scottish Rite Mason attending the Whittington Lodge. Mr. Beattie was an avid sailor sailing on the Great Lakes and was a member of the NorStar Sailing Club.

    He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Bacon Beattie of Hot Springs Village, three brothers Robert, Charles, and Ralph Beattie, a sister Jean Koch, all of Marine City, Michigan and six step-grandchildren.

    Mr. Beattie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alta Beattie, and a brother James Beattie. He was sent for cremation under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home. No services are scheduled at this time.
